![]() ![]() ![]() The picture guys will try to sell you pics of you in the water. I didn't give them much because they didn't give me much that time around. They all expect a tip when you return, but it is not mandatory. It could have been better, like it used to be. He just drove us out and one of the younger guys gave a brief description and then let us swim. The boat captain is usually quite friendly and talkative giving a great narrative of the tour, but this time we had a quiet guy who didn't say much. They let you swim around for about 15-20 mins. It's completely safe and a wonderful experience. I highly recommend swimming if you can as that is what this tour is all about. On the tour a couple guys will be on the boat and will be taking your pictures while you swim (should you choose to). The "bar" at the boat launch is very understocked, basically rum punch with the cheap stuff and nothing else. They have a gift shop there where there were actually some good deals I should mention. ![]() Next time I'm going to skip the meal and just go right to the boat tour. I mean come on, they are out of strawberry daquiry mix? And every other mix? Doesn't know what to put with vodka? Seriously? The menu is quite simple and the same items every time I go. There is a fine dining restaurant there, but the bar is severely understocked and the bartender doesn't know how to make anything, or doesn't have the stock to make anything. Should you go? Absolutely, but the amenities have gone downhill in the past few years. ![]() It is close to where I stay, not too expensive and certainly a once in a lifetime experience that you will never find anywhere else. This was just a huge disappointment from start to finish, a total waste of $180 for our family of 4.I have been here 5 or 6 times now. When trying to ask a crew member about the pictures they take of you in the water with their camera which is the only way to capture the bioluminescence around you, the man said one moment then walked away and was helping other people who walked up after I approached him to see the pics. Once there at the launch area to swim there's so many other boats with loud music playing and bright lights on their boats. We were told there'd be an option to have dinner at the destination, there was only a bar, no food options at all and due to their lack of being poorly organized and allowing too many people to book, spent so much time waiting for the other bus and 2 people we missed our dinner reservation back at the hotel which if all the other stuff they lacked on was done right and more professionally we'd have been back on schedule as we were told we'd be back in enough time to make our dinner reservation. The crew handed out drinks to everyone else onboard except for me, they walked right past me, not one asking if I wanted anything, clearly seeing I didn't have a drink in hand. Once finally there there were so many people there wasn't a space for me to sit, nobody courteous enough to move closer so I Sat on the most uncomfortable edge of this bench like seat in the middle of the boat to have the man keep elbowing me. When the bus arrived there were too many people booked for the bus so we had to wait for a 2nd to arrive then had to stop at the other side of the hotel to wait for 2 more people who should have had to be at the pickup spot or left behind. ![]()
